Who we are
The International Surgical Week ISW 2022 - the World's Congress of Surgery is the 49th congress of the International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC and the congress of the Integrated Societies (IAES, IATSIC, IASMEN, BSI, ISDS and ASAP), and the Participating Societies.



The history of the International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC) began in 1902 on the initiative of Belgian surgeons Antoine Depage and his colleagues. The society has a goal to work for international teaching in surgery, both specialized and general surgery, in developed and developing countries.
